BMW calls to review 1.6 million cars for a problem with the coolant

The German company will contact the owners of the affected vehicles, which were produced between 2010 and 2017

The German automobile manufacturer BMW has announced on Tuesday that it will call worldwide to review 1.6 million cars with a diesel engine for problems with the coolant, which can cause a fire.

BMW explained that in the affected vehicles, which were produced between August 2010 and August 2017 , the coolant can escape and in extreme cases produce a fire.

In mid-August, BMW had called for 480,000 vehicles to be revised in Europe and Asia, but in new research on similar engines technically the German company has identified more affected vehicles, although they do not pose a significant risk . The company itself will contact affected customers.
